VLITEX GmbH

One innovative application is the cooperation with our partner VLITEX, an expert in textile fire protection, which uses the SLOC Temperature Tracker to protect tools and vehicles with lithium-ion batteries.

The risks associated with the heating or overheating of lithium-ion batteries pose a major challenge. This is because they react strongly to changes in temperature and can trigger dangerous chemical processes that lead to a fire or explosion. With the help of the SLOC device, the risk of a battery fire is detected at an early stage and immediately contained by sending an alarm directly to the responsible department.

Faster response times and significant cost savings

The use of the SLOC Temperature Tracker has already increased safety and transparency at our partner VLITEX, particularly for towing services to quarantine electric vehicles and in industry to monitor electric forklift trucks and hazardous goods containers.

The shortened response time in the event of battery fires is particularly noteworthy: While conventional smoke detectors in large warehouses often only sound the alarm after minutes, the SLOC Temperature Tracker detects heat development directly at the battery - even before smoke develops. This time advantage of minutes to hours is crucial for preventing fires and minimizing damage.
