HACCP compliance thanks to SLOC sensors

The HACCP system is an important part of food safety management. SLOC devices support the monitoring of HACCP and can detect potential hazards in the production and transport of food.

The HACCP System

HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points and is an important component of food safety management. HACCP is a widely used food safety standard and is used by governments, industry groups and companies around the world. This system is a way to identify, monitor and control potential hazards in food production and transportation. It can be used to ensure that the final product is safe for consumption. This is also a requirement for international food standard certifications such as the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Use of the SLOC Devices

IoT sensors, such as SLOC devices, can make a significant contribution in HACCP monitoring. By using these, essential data can be captured in real time, allowing critical control points to be monitored and potential hazards to be quickly identified and addressed. This ensures the safety and hygiene of the final product and protects the consumer from possible contamination.

Functions of the System

Seven steps of the HACCP system
  1. Hazard Analysis: Identification of potential biological, chemical and physical hazards that could affect the final product.
  2. Critical Control Points (CCP): identification of points for control and prevention of the possible hazards.
  3. Critical Limits: Establishment of specific limits to ensure the safety of the end product
  4. Monitoring: Regular monitoring of critical limits
  5. Corrective Action: Measures taken to respond to deviations from the critical limits
  6. Verification: Verification of the effectiveness of the system
  7. Documentation: all data collected within the HACCP system must be documented
